Bar Harbor’s restaurants are as vast and varied as Mount Desert Island’s list of outdoor adventures. There are dining options from classic Maine clam shacks, to family friendly restaurants, pizza places, Mexican, Chinese and of course plenty of seafood spots with a view of the water. In fact, you will find Maine’s lobster on most menus, often served with an ocean view.

From Bay Meadow Cottages you are a short drive to breakfast cafes that serve famous Maine blueberry pancakes and muffins, lunch and dinner restaurants with Maine Lobster rolls and every other lobster dish imaginable. Dinner can be in a hilltop restaurant overlooking the harbor or at one of the grand Bar Harbor Inns where old-world service meets superb views. Feel free to stop in the Bay Meadow Cottages barn office for restaurant suggestions.
